Artificial Intelligence Bias affects us all. Artificial Intelligence is the world of computer learning. In this video, we take a look behind the veil to learn how data sets can unwittingly affect People of Color and Marginalized groups.
WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BIAS?
We examine the reflection of record-keeping in modern data sets, which illustrates the need for diversity in the output it quantifies and the diversity that creates that output.
THE DATA DOESN’T LIE
These data eventually affect the outcomes in data-sets we see in the present day, impacting the future of computer learning and how it effects public security and civil rights.

I thought this was a very interesting video! This is something that at lease I was never aware of. Thank you for making this easier to understand.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and read it. 🙂
i think it is inspiring to know that even though there are roadblocks like colorism people can still find a way to be successful. I am more motivated after reading this.
Great, that’s fantastic! But it is still up to us to be vigilant and call out bias when we see it.. especially if it affects others negatively. Cheers! 🙂
I had no idea how artificial intelligence bias affected marginalized groups until I watched this video. I feel ignorant and privileged knowing that I wasn’t aware of this, but with the knowledge I have just learned, I now have a better understanding regarding why the way we measure and keep data needs to change.
Absolutely! It’s up to us to call out bias and prejudice when we see it or experience it. Nothing changes if we all don’t take a stand and speak up. Thank you for reading & watching! 🙂
It seems like this tech field definitely needs more diversity in its programmers and the “input” archetypical faces; the computer/algorithms only reflect the diversity or biases of its creators and the society that’s cultivated these views.
