Aissata Watt is the daughter of two Senegalese immigrants, she is the first member of her extended family to be born in the United States. Watt has visited many different countries and has always been immersed in different cultures because of her upbringing and family ties.
Watt is passionate about the stories that are told when they are viewed through the lens of race, ethnicity, and culture. She was originally interested in CULTURS magazine because of how it provided a platform and voice for those who are often forgotten and ignored which is something she has always wanted to do.
Watt hopes to produce content that inspires and educates readers to view the world from a different lens and be open to new ideas, surroundings, and people.
