Refer to the phrase; “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” What about your internal thoughts? What about the language you hear in your mind every day? What if this form of Nonverbal Communication does effect you?
The pessimistic thoughts you speak to yourself each day can sound like negative connotation, and if no else is around to hear you, does it still make a sound, or a difference? Apparently, yes, according to a clinical trial conducted in the University of California; how you speak to yourself matters. Using your inner monologue as a resource can significantly lower stress provoking hormones.
Hold yourself in high regard; maintain an attitude consistent with your actions. If you desire success, don’t call yourself a loser. Lose the negative inner thoughts and words in your vocabulary instead.
