Most would agree that getting to experience life in India while having the Himalayas as your backyard sounds like something off a travelers bucket list. While that might be true, for Pico, the main character in The Road Home, this is the last place he wants to be. Inspired by actual life experience, director Rahul Gandotra tells the story of Pico, a boy born and raised in England but of Indian heritage, that is sent to a boarding school in the Himalayas.
Though Pico is less than thrilled to be at the boarding school, boarding schools around the world are known for their acceptance of all international students. Richard MacDonald, the headmaster of Aiglon College, states that boarding schools “allow international pupils to form long-lasting friendships and engenders intercultural understanding within the student community.”
Boarding schools are a great environment to find children of all different cultures and countries and are regarded as some of the best schools for future opportunities. Here are three of the top boarding schools around the world.
