With the app, users receive affirmations via push notifications directly to their phone.

These affirmations are meant to be positive, inspirational, humorous and relatable.

According to LaDonna Welch, the developer of the app:

I had an affirmations app but it wasn’t enough. The affirmations were really dry and general. I did a search for ‘Affirmations for Black People,’ ‘Affirmations for Black Women’ and ‘Affirmations for Black Men’ in the app stores but the options were either generic or not related. I did a Google search as well and came up with nothing so my wheels started turning and Ebony Notes the app was born.

The categories in the app allow users to choose the tone and topics they’d like to receive.

Where to find the Ebony Notes app

The app is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

It’s a free app but subscribers can access all locked features and access to customizable options.

A monthly subscription is US$4.99 and a yearly one is $29.99. There is also a “One Time Fee” available for $99.99.
