Apple TV+ has pulled back the curtain on its upcoming documentary event, “K-Pop Idols,” which premiered worldwide Aug. 30, 2024.

The six-episode series promises to deliver a rare, all-access journey into the electrifying world of K-pop, displaying the demanding reality these artists face daily. Featuring acclaimed K-pop sensations Jessi, CRAVITY and BLACKSWAN, the series will explore the intricate dynamics of their professional lives, combining glamour with the unyielding pursuit of artistic perfection.

The series follows the artists through both their personal struggles and landmark achievements. The narrative delves into the sacrifices in the competitive K-pop industry and the relentless passion, creativity and resolve these stars bring to the global stage.

“K-Pop Idols” is a production of Boat Rocker’s Matador Content, with a powerhouse team including Emmy Award winners Todd Lubin and Jay Peterson, who previously collaborated on “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.” Producers known for their work on a range of notable projects such as “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields,” “Lord of War,” “Citizen Sleuth” and “Bling Empire” join them.

She had nearly 20 years of experience in major-market media, including serving as special sections editor for the Chicago Sun-Times and its north suburban subsidiaries.
